As if having to return to work on Monday following a relaxing weekend wasn’t bad enough, corporate drones throughout the virtual world must grapple with an even more frustrating problem: Slack is down.
Downdetector.com confirms the Slack outage, which apparently began at 10:50 am ET – just as US workers on the East Coast were downing that second pot of coffee.
It wasn’t long before #Slackdown began trending on Twitter, and judging by the tweets, Slack users weren’t handling the outage well.

According to Slack, most core services are experiencing “no issues.” However, the status page confirms that all is not well on the ubiquitous communications app. Specifically, it notes that workspaces are having a difficult time “with messages sending and loading.”
“Our team is on the case and we’ll report back once we have an update to share,” the announcement reads.
